Athletes, have you ever had the experience of losing confidence when you needed it most? Or gotten distracted with the game on the line? Would you like to consistently perform your best, or peak for the big game?

Coaches, would you like your athletes to be more self-motivated? Do you want to see more leadership come from within your team? Would you like to resolve conflicts with players and parents in a way that improves performance rather than hurts it?

Parents, would you like to see more sportsmanship at your child’s games? Do you want to be a positive influence on your child’s athletic development? Would you like to be an avid exerciser yourself in spite of increasing time and energy demands of work and family?

Challenges such as these are ever present in sport and exercise. Unfortunately, teaching the skills needed to overcome this adversity are not always a part of the youth sport experience. As a result, sport at all levels can have a dark side where aggression and “winning at all costs” are valued over sportsmanship. Sport participation can be stressful and performance suffers.

The AASP Expo is here to help.

Our primary goal is to help you achieve the best possible involvement, performance, and enjoyment of sport and exercise. Through active workshops, athletes will learn the mental skills that improve sport performance and be able to use them right away. We seek to enrich the youth sport experience by promoting the powerful topics of positive sports parenting, ethics, leadership and sportsmanship to immediately improve your sporting culture. We will assist coaches in their quest to get the most out of their athletes and teams by actively developing team-building, communication and conflict-resolution skills that they can incorporate into their next practice. Attendees will have access to the best sport psychology consultants from around the globe to discuss their unique performance interests.

The Association for Applied Sport Psychology is the largest sport and exercise psychology organization in North America with members from 28 countries around the world. Members of AASP work with the most successful athletes in the world today, including professional and Olympic champions. Some of our finest consultants will be presenting to you.

Join us at the AASP Expo and experience the very best of sport and exercise psychology for yourself.
